Zulu Sold in Bay of Islands, New Zealand

Zulu, the sound and excellent sailing boat that we voyaged on for six years, has sold in the Bay of Islands, New Zealand.

It was a Scotsman from Vancouver Island, British Columbia who had her so well designed and built.
And it is a Scots-born New Zealander from Wellington who is the new owner.
Zulu's home is now in Aotearoa, The Land of The Long White Cloud.

My wish is that she sails on through oceans blue to new horizons.

In time, I will write the untold stories of The Voyage of Yacht Zulu.

As new chapters begin
May dreams come true.

SOUND OF THE SEA
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

The sea awoke at midnight from its sleep
And round the pebbly beaches far and wide
I heard the first wave of the rising tide
Rush onward with uninterrupted sweep;
A voice out of the silence of the deep,
A sound mysteriously multiplied
As of a cataract from the mountain's side,
Or roar of winds upon a wooded steep.
So comes to us at times, from the unknown
And inaccessible solitudes of being,
The rushing of the sea-tides of the soul;
And inspirations that we deem our own,
Are some divine foreshadowing and foreseeing
Of things beyond our reason or control.
